The Six Sixteen Restaurant and Bar

The atmosphere here has a very cool vibe. I had the Angus burger. It was very good. Fries were also very good. My wife had the wedge salad and chicken wings. She very much enjoyed both of her choices.

Why isn't everybody at 6 Sixteen? First of all, I come to B'Ham about once per month and due to my work location I always stay at the Tut. At first I avoided this "hotel restaurant" but once I came here the first time, i always come back! The service, is amazing..family owned, service is INCREDIBLE. So friendly, kind...Leonard, Olivia and Marcus, all family, bartenders. And the food is great. Love, love love the burger and chacuteries. Travelers you can sit at the bar, interact with other people or drink/eat in peace. I just love this family place so much and you will too!!

Nachos were good. But the Shrimp and Grits was awesome!!

The food and drinks are amazing! The atmosphere is very modern, relaxing and romantic. The owners are very friendly and inviting. The staff is very committed to providing the best experience possible. In addition, I met an amazing artist from South Africa and had a great conversation. If you’re seeking great food, drinks and conversation, this is the place for you. The Sidecar was my favorite cocktail and the grilled pork chop dinner was delicious. By far the best food/bar experience I’ve had thus far! Please support this business, you won’t regret it. ❤️

I got the bone in pork chop with garlic, mashed potatoes and breaded asparagus. I overheard the bartender, telling another patron at the bar where I was sitting that the bone in pork chop is “fall off the bone“. So I ordered it. When it was brought to me, I was a little leery, because at first glance looking at the chop it looked like there was very little moisture to it. as soon as I try to cut into it, my fears were true as it was extremely overcooked and dry. It tasted fine, but it certainly wasn’t fall off the bone. I ate it anyway, but did mention it to the bartender. They never offered to take anything off my bill. What they did is give me my drink for free. I would try this place again, but I would hope in the future , if the food was not to my liking, something more appropriate would be offered to me.

Family-run restaurant/bar accessible from the hotel. Friendly, personal service. Food tastes like it was cooked at home. Nice selection of music playing, great for conversation. Multiple TV's if you want to watch the game. Great spot.
