An expensive breakfast in Birmingham has been serving the Homewood community for several years now, and it is a big hit. The donuts are fresh and have a variety of toppings. Be alert one donut could cost an arm and a leg. I would recommend going to Krispy Kreme for your sugar needs and wants. Service may not be as good, but it will save your pocketbook.
My first time here. Will definitely be back. The guy that took my order was polite and friendly with a nice smile. I got the apple fritter, loaded hash browns and a cold brew. Food was good! The coffee was smooth, among the best I have had.
I would have given it five stars if we had not ordered food items other than donuts. The portions of the French toast and hamburger or absolutely tiny. We would’ve been better off going to McDonald’s. I was shocking to see how small the hamburger was. It tasted great, but it was definitely not filling.
I am such a fan of hero’s. But this location is the worst of them all. The last 4 visits, the staff have been horrible and rude. People standing to order and the staff obviously ignoring them until they ask to order. Staff laughing at customers expense. One of the staff members (blonde with a blue tattoo on her neck) was by far the most rude. Due to the staff, I will take my business to another location. If you are looking for not only good food but a good atmosphere…don’t come here.
I go up to hero’s after work every other Friday and always met with good energy. The tall guy and blonde headed cashier always seem to be in good spirits.
My favorite is the Dad Burger. Today I had the classic with bacon- also delicious.
Hero saved me from a potentially embarrassing hangover. Forever grateful and in their debt. Considering giving up drinking so I can eat more doughnuts. Perfect for sharing with those you love and/or want to fatten up.
The old-fashioned style, burgers and fries are amazing.!!! Fresh ingredients are a rarity these days. ❤
