Horrible breakfast - only a buffet option with mediocre food and anemic service at a ridiculous price - stay away!
Bummed it took me so long to check this place out ! Might just be my go to from now on . Love the large circular bar area and the dining room is fabulous as well . Very accessible to those who use a wheelchair or walker . Lovely calm atmosphere . Live jazz playing Wednesday nights from 6-8 pm . Not sure about the other nights but my hunch is there is . Extensive drink menu offering all sorts of whiskey, gin , wines and beers many other options including a fancy mocktail & heinken 0 . Love the fireplace scene showing on the tv and lots of space between the tables . The free bar snacks are wonderful . Please note Gratuity is added automatically to your bill . Up to you if you want to add more . Please see photos for the food menu . Lots of choices & several kids were dining as well . Nice spot to relax unwind . We’ll be back . Wheelchair accessibility: Nice ramp inside the hotel entrance to get you into lobby , bar & restaurant . Plenty of room to navigate & get around easily away from the bustle of nyc streets .
The drinks are standard Manhattan prices. Nothing really stands out but it’s warm and cozy. Jungle Bird is basically a Sea Breeze but too much ice.
When did I become the old guy at the bar? Beautiful hotel lobby bar close to GCT MN northern entrance. It's always a bit too warm in this bar but that's ok.
Very slow inattentive horrible experience.
The drinks were stronger than average and tasted good. I left to another place for food because the menu was very limited. Good for a quick dinner at the hotel.
Nice ambience, lovely staff, shame about the distinct lack of vegetarian options on the cooked breakfast menu & no plant based or soya yoghurts or non dairy options…when I asked what alternatives were available, I was informed ‘there’s asparagus’ not sure that constitutes plant based alternatives as a protein source. $109 for breakfast for 2 people, pancakes were dry, food was average & bland, I wouldn’t recommend.
Wow! $30 for a gin martini! As someone who works in the area I am accustomed to NY prices but this just felt like highway robbery! This is not the St. Regis. I hope Management adjusts their pricing expectations, especially considering the mediocre, b-tier midtown hotel lobby vibes.
