The majority of the staff here are friendly, however the older asian man is extremely rude and condescending. Every time I come in and he’s working, his attitude is extremely unpleasant and he just seems to have a chip on his shoulder. I understand he might hate his life, but he doesn’t need to take it out on other people.
Based on the recent reviews, I guess I got lucky and didn't have a problem. I ordered a mocha and chocolate croissant. It was not busy, but the server took forever making the coffee. The croissant was perfect and the coffee was good too. The place is cozy enough, but the music wasn't great if you were hanging out for a while.
Some of the staffs here need be replaced for sure, the bald Asian male and the nonbinary one are extremely rude and they are even discriminating against some of the customers. Their behaviors make me even doubt about their food safety.
The girl behind the counter, was clearly not bothered. I asked for an Oat Milk cappuccino, I got a coffee with milk, filled way too much which burnt my hand when I took the lid off, no froth at all. The guy behind the counter seemed to be running around, cleaning up after the girl who has no idea and didn’t want to be there. What a load of rubbish
the customer in front of me order an iced latte and the barista just used cold brew and added milk. the customer wasn't paying attention but i was shocked of the audacity of the barista to do this right in front of people. didnt order after this.
Chinese server not willing to listen. I asked only to add ice on a hot chocolate for my son and he rejected . Costumer can’t ask anything. Terrible service to be in Boston downtown.
Lovely slice of coffee heaven for a shopping break!
Staff here were so rude we were actually in shock at the way we were spoken to. Male member of staff spent 5 minutes complaining about another customer because he’d asked for his drink to be made again. It was extremely uncomfortable and he was very aggressive which meant my friend no longer wanted to order. Then when I ordered a hot chocolate the girl bluntly replied ‘no hot chocolate’. Then the male colleague said we do have hot chocolate and she responded ‘I’m not making hot chocolate at this time’. It was 4pm and it should be served all the time anyway. This should be followed up with the two members of staff on shift today as it was appalling.
If the goal is to make money. Then they need some help. Just wanted a muffin and plain black coffee. Finally when soneone waited on me. Stood over the cash reguster for another 10 minutes as they ignored me. Finally had to threaten to just leave cash to pay for the order and it was almost an inconvience to give them money. No wonder there is a long line. As we say in the military... Unsat!
