Went right when store opened for the day, no hot fudge ready. Also no maple walnut ice cream ( which is what my sister at Spaulding wanted)
The Ice Cream though overpriced, is not bad. However, everything about this place screams toxic management. Burned out employees, being closed at random times due to "labor shortages", and employees being forced to always weight the ice cream even taking some out because god forbid they give out an extra tablespoon of ice cream. If you come in anytime summer or fall it is always grossly hot which ruins the whole vibe. It is clear the ownership is to cheap to turn on the AC, doesn't treat their employees well and freaks out over losing a few cents on slightly bigger scoops more than losing long term customers due to the bad vibe this place has. There are other better places to get ice cream.
It was a pretty long wait because only one employee was working (which is confusing because given the prices you'd think they'd have enough money to hire enough staff...) and was also disappointed that their menu online is not representative of what they actually have in store. The sorbet I got was pretty good though.
Kind of a funky vibe. Owners have history with rock bands and seemed to enjoy the 70's and 80's ... Only 1 server when we went. Seemed short staffed. Wait wasn't too bad though...Ice Cream was pretty good. Tourist Pricing.
Great, funky ice cream shop with quality flavors. We love walking here, especially in the summertime, to get one of their many flavors of yummy ice cream. The vibe of this place is funky and fun and not overly expensive. They hours can be a bit tricky, but they always seem to have good customer service. Would highly recommend to anyone!
Great place for ice cream and rock n roll in downtown Boston!
