Prima Italian Steakhouse

One of the best experiences in Boston restaurants scene so far. Great food, steaks cooked to perfection. We had a little feedback, which was taken with so much attention, and both waitress and manager were incredibly nice about it. Best cannoli we ever tried as well.

Went there for a brunch- the place was packed and the vibe was so cozy. Food was delicious and service was great. Would love to try it for dinner next time

It started on a high note. Amazing atmosphere, great decor and a warm greeting. The facade quickly crumbled from there. An overly sweet Paloma that could have been made by a fraternity whose budget consists of keystone lite and Kirkland farms tequila. Followed by burrata served with an equally elegant-looking and stale bread accompanied by dole grapes straight from your high school cafeteria. The “local lobster” pasta sealed the deal, served fresh and in the shadow of the overly acidic lemon stew it faded away into. Overall, Prima is a place I looked forward to taking credit for discovering - only to be let down bit by bit each drink, appetizer and entree I ordered. This is a classic and unfortunate death by 1000 cuts establishment that lures you in with a great atmosphere and leaves you running for a $5 gas station pizza that delivers just as well as anything on the menu.

What serious steakhouse has a kitchen that closes at 8:15pm? None. We were excited to do the Monday night all gluten-frree menu. Reservation at 8pm. Restaurant called us a few minutes before to tell us the kitchen closed at 8:15pm. I asked why we were not made aware of this before and they said the reservation portal on Open Table should have. It did not. The confirmation email did not. I asked if it was a weather related early closure. The restaurant also said no. They could have lied and said yes. That would have been better than the carelessness exhibited here. Moreover, this is a restaurant that is open from 4pm to 1am. Am I to understand that the kitchen is only open for 4 hours each day from 4pm to 8pm. Even worse, the restaurant employee sort of had an attitude with me about it. Such incredibly odd behavior. Red flag after red flag. Stay away from here. Ultimately we weren't able to even eat here.

Always such a beautiful experience at prima. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is amazing and there are very few restaurants in Boston more gorgeous.

I went to Prima Steakhouse with some friends for a special occasion. The food was very good and the steaks were great, but the restaurant seating area was way too crowded with bar customers. The service while super nice and accommodating) was not very good, such as they forgot to bring us silverware, they didn't bring us napkins, and they even forgot to bring steak knives. Other patrons kept bumping into us while we were eating.

Made reservation a month in advance for 2. When we arrived they told that they did not have a table for us. Told them we were happy to wait for our table even 30 minutes or an hour after our reservation time and was told they wouldn’t seat us because bigger parties needed tables. Eventually sat us at the bar. Not sure why we made a reservation for dinner if they won’t seat you. Food was good.

Everything was great, i just wish it could've been a good bit brighterinside. I had to hold a candle from the table up to the menu in order to read it properly. But the food was wonderful. Flavors, texture and all were great. Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free Mondays, but they do say on the menu that it cannot be guaranteed because the food is all made in the same kitchen.
