Strega Italiano Back Bay

Wonderful experience. Arrived ridiculously early for our reservations and were seated immediately. Our server made excellent recommendations...in particular for the wine! The manager, hostess and two additional employees checked in on us to make sure all was well. Did I mention the food was amazing?! Thank you to the entire Strega Back Bay staff.

I had a very good experience there. Our waiter was exceptional. The food was pretty good for Boston. Cocktails were very good. had a great time with our two year old son. More options for kids on the menu would be nice.

My wife and I dined at this restaurant tonight, as it was conveniently located within our hotel. We started with the Polpette (meatballs) appetizer and then enjoyed the Rigatoni Bolognese and Cavatelli Salsicca for our main courses. The food arrived piping hot and in generous portions; we couldn't finish everything! Although we didn't catch the names of our server and bartender, they were both friendly and attentive. The bartender checked in on us regularly, adding to the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. It's evident that the staff genuinely enjoy their work. With another week ahead of us, we look forward to returning and would highly recommend this spot to others.

I was in this past week with a large work Christmas Party. Food was delicious and our private space was perfect for our group. Our waiter was very pleasant but did not seem ready for a large group like we had. While waiting to leave a large metal fixture fell off the wall directly onto my arm, leaving a bruise that covers my forearm. A waitress asked if I was okay but no one from management approached me. Instead I was nudged out of the way like nothing happened, and the metal piece was just propped back up onto the wall. I called the next day to alert a manager so no one else would be injured and was brushed off. I wasn’t asking for anything but was surprised they were not concerned. Heads up when you walk in!

I had a wonderful experience at Strega! My group ordered the burrata and arancini for appetizers (both delicious!), while for mains we had the bucatini, linguine with clams, and roasted chicken — the portions were quite generous, none of us finished! But we were all very satisfied with the flavors and ingredients. For dessert we ordered the key lime pie and millefoglie — also very large, but very tasty and carefully prepared. Our waiter throughout the evening was very patient and caring, often checking in and assisting us as needed. Overall it was a fantastic dinner, I definitely recommend Strega if you’re in the area!

It is a good option to have a romantic night! The oysters are unique! Food is delicious, and the service goes beyond expectations, we tried the finger licking osobuco with wine, and spent a great moment there. Recommended to try Italian taste in the heart of Boston!

I went to celebrate my birthday and try the saffron risotto it is too delicious, the oysters are very fresh, you can enjoy a good wine, our waiter was wonderful, I don't remember his name but he was from Morocco! He gave us the best recommendations!

Great location for walking to the theater. Excellent food with good and fast-but-not-rushed service! Cocktails were tasty as was our app. I got the eggplant app as my main meal and it was perfect. My husband’s swordfish was amazing! We will be back

Great food and service tonight with the dine in! My table was treated very well and I thoroughly enjoyed the food (the affogato was great) - the only thing is I left my reusable straw at the restaurant (owner/ customer service if you guys see this please help me find it if you can) Love- Abi
