This place is now called "Asian Bowl". It's a vegetarian/vegan resturant. I tried it out. The Pad Thai was good. The Mao Boa was tough and gummy. Spring rolls were fine. Seems like they are still finding their footing.
We really love their Tofu Spring Rolls and the Noodle Soup. It’s simply delicious, highly recommend.
Vegetarian options: Excellent vegetarian food. So enjoyed the pho Awesome fresh rolls... So enjoyed!
I loved this place. It was my go to. I hate the new management / ownership and their decision to make it vegetarian only, the wasabi aioli salmon rolls were a favorite. I loved the recipes here and had tried every new menu item they added until ownership changed. I gave it a shot and still tried the vegetarian options, the only one that didn't change was the green bun bo hue which in my opinion is still delicious but the only thing id actually order here. Star anise went from my favorite restaurant to one I won't visit again. I wish I knew where the original owners went, I'd definitely follow
Went in looking for Pho, and on their menu they didn't have any meat. I asked what meat selections they have, and was told it was vegan pho. What a joke!
Was a Vietnamese spot. Now permanently closed, replaced by Asian Bowl, a vegan Vietnamese restaurant.
Love their Malaysian curry and parata. They have recently turned vegetarian only, but I love the new stuff they have on their menu anyway. Come here for a balanced meal and a light working lunc.
Great service, the pho broth goes hard with springy wide noodles, and the vermicelli bowls are light with wonderfully charred protein. There are solid drinks as well - both of their lemonades are great EDIT: Ownership has changed and this is now a vegan restaurant. Personally the food is not to my taste, much of the depth and taste is missing. Sad to say it is likely I won’t come back again.
Ordered off-menu pho with filet mignon and tendon, which was delicious. The meat was tender, and the soup was tasty and at just the right temperature. You place order at the counter and pay up front before finding a table by yourself. Overall, while the food was good, I found the price to be a bit high for the service that you get.
