Saffron - Burlingame

Went for a Friday night date with husband. The food was flavoursome . Specially the Bombay sliders were just mouthwatering Decent and quiet ambience with not much hustle bustle. -1 just for the fact they were out of the dessert we wanted to try. Overall had a nice calm dinner.

We’re regulars from the time the restaurant was named Rasa and the name change has, if anything, made it better. The food, service and ambiance are all amazing. It remains our go-to restaurant for all special occasions and taking friends visiting from outside the Bay Area!!

Authentic Indian food with rich flavors.

For drinks we had thyme me up and aam sutra. Would definitely recommend both as we went on others recommendations and it didn’t disappoint. Next we moved on to Indo Chinese style inspired item, Tso Cauliflower for appetizer. It was well cooked and absolutely liked the subtleties of the flavor. Mains were nothing to rave about and did the job. But the one thing that put us off was one of the curries were served at room temperature and we had to send it back. By the time it made it back to our table, we were done with the rest of our mains. So experience wise it was a let down as we were really looking forward to enjoy the whole time.

This is a former Michelin star restaurant. The food was pretty good. It’s indian fusion food. I wasn’t super elevated with it. The soup and dosa was quite good. The Taos cauliflower was underwhelming. I ordered aama sutra cocktail, I could not taste the mango or the jalapeño in it.
