Very quaint atmosphere. Love the unique collection of plates.
We sat outside and it felt like Europe. The food was very tasty (escargots and osso bucco for me and halibut for my wife, and bread puddi g to finish) all perfectly prepared, although there could have been a little less garlic in the escargots), service was fast and efficient. One problem: parking.
The food was great and the service was lovely. All the staff were very kind and took great care of our table. The prices were reasonable, and the serving sizes were substantial.
You book a reservation, you confirm it, you actually show up, you let them know you will be a party of one instead of two. Then they seat you right next to a door with high traffic flow going to and from the patio and next to the server silverware, glassware, water station. For this 2 stars. My eventual actual server, Nancy, was great. Food was good except a component for the salmon was missing. Ambiance is amazing, historic. Mis-matched vintage chinaware is fun.
We had lunch here on Christmas Day and it was quite the overpriced fiasco. Unbeknownst to us, the restaurant only offered a seafood menu on Christmas Day and did not offer their regular brunch menu. It was a definite sticker shock! I paid over $28.00 for under cooked pasta and vegetables and my son had a fish dish for close to $50.00. So not worth the money. His dish was quite small for what we paid. It was also not very appetizing and seasoned poorly. The desserts were also overpriced and we passed on sampling them. I would never return to this ostentatious dining venue. I hesitate to call it a restaurant because the quality doesn't justify this. Never again will I be mislead by a restaurant review!
