Burger and bun did not look like anything in the pics published as per the other reviews I saw on google plus it was oddly cooked on the outside but tasted undercooked on the inside, McDonalds burger would have been one level up from this one , chose not to even finish it just in case. Nice people and atmosphere Not a fan of quality of food though sorry ♂️
Food joint appealing to millennials, minimalists, and social media junkies. It is inside Neighborhood Goods which is the ATX SoCo version of a luxury goods department store. The food was mediocre at a slightly higher price point for what is served, setting was clean, order at bar then self serve from there so you don't have to be bothered by waitstaff - a key for antisocial minimalist millennials on social media ;) Vegetarian options: Mediocre
We ate lunch here and had the fried chicken strips (very good), chicken club (decent), grilled cheese (okay but pricy for grilled cheese), and the special of the day which was a gyro (not very good). Service was great and they were friendly. The atmosphere is a little different than we are used to as you walk in to a retail store and then head over to the circle bar to eat.
Very spacious located on SoCo and inside of Neighborhood Goods to the left! More signage would be helpful so guests on the main streets can navigate themselves accordingly, but the atmosphere and experience was fantastic. My father is a culinary critic and is difficult to impress, but said everything was delicious and my mother loved the photos Hector took of us!
I originally was trying to go on a date to a nearby restaurant but ended up here - not disappointed one bit! Menu is good, great food with no weird ingredients thrown in that sometimes happen when eating in restaurants with cool vibes. I would definitely come back - underhyped!
Today I waited over 20mins, during my 30min break, for two tacos. The server, short blonde hair, was too busy talking with her friend to check on my order. The kitchen never got my order and she blamed it on her ticket printer and the BOH server. She never relayed any information to me, i had to go up and ask her the status of my order, while only having 5mins left of my break. When I stated I can no longer wait, I also let her know that it feels like issues always pop up when ordering food and she said "we're working on it." It felt rude and dismissive. She then stated "we can make your coffees on the house"...I didnt order coffees. please ensure the staff you have serving 1. pay attention to their guests and not friends 2. aren't dismissive when guests are giving feedback. The constant kitchen issues and this service makes me not want to come back. Which is really unfortunate because the food and drinks are great.
I really wasn’t impressed but the atmosphere was great.
This was quite tasty overall! The margarita (note not pictured)lead the way! A little more crunch on the sp fries and the turkey club was filling. Good price point service was timely even with a large order and a bit of a mix up was rectified. The atmosphere was bright and trendy and not over stimulating. This shop and eat concept was a good balance of both.
Hilariously overpriced resort style boutique of random stuff - symbol of the new Soco Austin
