Marquis Pizza

Went to Marquis Pizza for first time. Tried another time but they were closed. They don’t put on website when they are going to be closed. This time the theater was closed but I was only there for the pizza. It is no joke the staff never answer the phone, you have to go in person and hope they are open. I think when the theater is closed, it’s a little easier to find parking but know in advance you may need to drive around block 2x before you find a spot. The front door to pizza place is like a double Dutch door. No matter how cold it is outside (when no show playing at theater) you have to ring a doorbell & then a staff member will open top half of door and take your order while you stand on sidewalk. You will not be allowed to enter. They will tell you when to return. You can sit in your car or stand on sidewalk. Not the safest looking neighborhood. If your pizza is done sooner, they don’t notify you. I got the High on Fire and it was excruciating hot to the point of unpleasant and uneatable. The staff did the bare minimum customer service. The whole experience did not “wow me”. I heard when there is a show going on, you get to enter restaurant if you have a ticket. The restaurant basically caters to the theater customers & inbetween or when no shows, it becomes a pop up pizza restaurant without entry inside. Parking: If you are able to walk, you may need to park blocks away. But if you make a few rounds, usually a spot pops up.

Easily one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I went to buy a slice of pizza and the boy running the window immediately came off rude and dismissive. A few girls were behind me laughing among themselves and talking, which prompted the boy at the window to laugh super loud mocking the girls behind me. We were all put off at this point. Then after scanning my card he tried putting in his own tip and told me to just hit pay.. Being even more annoyed, I opted for no tip since my order was taken and there was no service to tip for. The boy then remarked paraphrased “Oh no tip huh? Must be tough out there.” I ignored the comment. Once my slice was heated he called out the window saying “slice of pizza for the guy who doesn’t leave a tip!” I will never go back here again, pizza was okay but customer service was non existent. Think of how many other people they try and force to tip when they aren’t paying attention. I happened to catch it and it pissed them off.

You can’t call to place an order ahead because they refuse to answer the phone. We even tried placing an order online and it was cancelled because there was no confirmation received from the restaurant. Pizza is decent, but with how the service is, you may as well make the walk to SliceWorks.

Always have a good time when I'm there!

Nobody picks up the phone at this business multiple times I’ve had messed up orders delivered to me, and nobody answers the phone when you try to call the establishment very unprofessional any other pizza shop's would be answering the phone call for their customers I’ve been going to this place for years. I will never support this business again for the unprofessionalism.
