Gypsy House Cafe

I used to like this place. It’s nearby, spacious and I’ve met friends here several times before (even back to when they were on 13th) however, the barista I encountered on my last occasion was beyond rude. I stood directly in front of her, face to face, after purchasing cup of tea, a latte, and muffin for me and my friend and asked “is there honey and cream anywhere” right. She STRAIGHT UP ignored me. It was not particularly noisy, my friend heard me and I'm certain everyone else there did. I shrugged it off and thought I saw a place where they might have cream/sugar/stirrers but all that was there was mustard. They evidently keep anything you might want to put in your tea or coffee behind the counter away from the customers. I came back and asked again while she took care of others now and thought if she had either cream or honey within reach she could just quickly hand it over or at least tell me she'd be right with me but she couldn’t be bothered. I asked a third time and told me "you'll need to wait until I'm done helping these people." I waited as she made drinks and kept waiting as she rang everyone up. She finally asked what I needed then and I said again “some honey and cream please.” She shoved the cream at me and began helping someone else. I stood waiting again for her to finish with them before she asked what I was waiting for. I said “honey.” And Yes, at this point I was quite annoyed and she addressed me by saying “you don’t have to have an attitude.” My attitude was a result of being ignored more than once and treated like second class citizen. I'm not sure what I did to be treated so poorly but I won’t be ever be going back.

Echo the sentiments of other negative reviews. I was up-charged to a drink I didn't want and didn't order for some reason. I recommend getting your receipt at this place.

Staff is super friendly, atmosphere is very welcoming, and the food is wonderful. Love this place! Will definitely be back.

One can not praise this magical establishment enough unless sipping on it's lovingly crafted elixirs or omnivorously serving menu (also crafted lovingly) in person. The ambiances, true to it's name, inspire memories of rich Arabian orient influenced decor with a healthy international dose of tastefully placed relics and echoes of world communing elements which lean towards the sacred wonder in all of us. Paired with a proprietorship which delivers the kind of service one wishes exists everywhere, the Gypsy House Cafe twin sisters and their doting staff are sure to stir emotions and feelings of home and belonging rare to find. The legacy of this magnificent casbah is also deeply entrenched in providing a space for local and visiting artists of every discipline to find a place for expression which transcends the ordinary into a place where glorious discoveries abound for those willing to engage more senses and explore the public eye, ear and heart. A "together" place where the richness of life and esoteric practices like tarot and reading fortune come to uncover that which we already know: that we are all travelling wanderers seeking to share something with one another for at least a moment of blissful illumination.

Amazing Coffee House. The owners were amazing, had a delicious smoothie it was so good. The colors are amazing, such a great vibe. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for an enjoyable place to hang out.

Love this place. The people so warm and the space is thoughtfully put together. An intimate homey vibe with lots of plants, art and cozy seating.
