PSL was sad- not foamy at all. Club sandwich was pretty good though, would get again

amazing mocha! thick and not too sweet!

I have two words: Ginger Chai. Seriously, Annie (the owner of Lava Java) has a drink that's spicy and sweet. For a real treat, ask for it Scott-style (extra spicy) and enjoy! I also recommend the bagel sandwiches and the hummus vegetarian, as well as the spinach-avo smoothie (no, I'm not joking). It's cash-only, and no, they don't have a restroom, but for a simple and yummy breakfast or lunch and a good cup of coffee, it's the best place in the neighborhood.

Best egg, mushroom and spinach wrap, and the avocado and spinach smoothie is out of this world.

Cash or Venmo only, there's a slapping matcha latte for later in the day. Pre sweetened but only the slightest and still bitter ya!

Don’t waste your time. (This is not about the barista, they were fine. This is about the owner) * They don’t accept credit or debit cards here and expect you to Venmo or Zelle them the money. I came in around 4:30 to get a quick chia tea and I asked if I could sit inside while I waited for my friend, the owner snaps at me “15 minutes and we close” when it says they close at 5 like- I just took the time to Zelle you for over priced coffee and a 30% tip for the barista and you’re gonna be rude to me. I’m planning on disputing the charge with my bank. Honestly don’t come here.

Ordered a cappuccino, half the cup was foam. Went back and stated that it should only be 2cm foam. Barista remade and then the woman behind the front counter rudely said that next time I need to ask for not much foam. Don’t blame the consumer when you guys are the ones incorrectly making coffees.
