A cool little dive bar to grab a beer and tasty wings. The service is hit or miss and the clientele can be a little belligerent, but despite that it’s my go to place for wings.
I use to come to this bar with friends in the past. I recently came in with family to order food and drinks. The food wasn’t too bad and everything came out correct. I finished my glass of red wine and put my gum on the empty glass. One of the bartenders (larger lady, not the birthday girl) came over and said: “HERE! Do you want your gum?” I thought it was really strange for someone to ask that but I politely said no. She then insisted on me taking the gum so I said again for the second time no. She then goes “well take it off (the glass)”. I look at her with an absurd look on my face because I have never been asked if I want/to take my trash from a restaurant/bar…!? I don’t respond. She then goes to reach for a used napkin off of our table and takes the gum off then as she’s walking away says something under her breath. I’m not sure if these people were raised in a barn but that is not professional at all. I get that this bar is very relaxed and a “hole in the wall” but the employees don’t have to act and be a literally hole in the wall. I hope this never happens to anyone else….
Torey is a great bartender who knows how to take care of a table and make you feel welcome. Can't wait to see the new location! This place is a staple in the area.
Food here is still amazing. Staff super accommodating put on game for me. Love the jukebox as well.
Wife and I came in on a Thursday around 0400pm. Needed to burn a few hours. Parking is in the back. It can be fairly easy to miss, so hideaway is a great name. Inside has a small bar, restrooms, and a pool table. Most of the seating is outdoors (covered) in the back and front. Had a few miller lites ($4) and we ordered fried pickles and chicken tenders. Pickles were super hot and crispy. The tenders were big and corn flake battered. Good vibes outside. Crowd felt like mostly locals that knew each other. Reminds me of a bar from up north smashed with a beach bar. Staff were friendly if you needed anything. Attentive but not pushy to sell or upcharge. We got new drinks when needed, but never felt rushed or unwanted. We were looking for somewhere to burn some time and enjoy the weather and we found it. Fun casual dive. Honestly, wish we lived a bit closer. Parking: Parking is in the back. Very nondescript lot with a chain link fence.
Great people and a nice place to relax. Unpretentious, inexpensive, staff is great.
Delicious food, best wings in Orlando! Vegetarian options: Not many vegetarian options. Grilled cheese or veggie burger.
