Krispy Kreme

Was rushed to order...no free donut was offered....not happy with this visit

Yesterday afternoon, I took my two children to Krispy Kreme as a promised treat for performing well in school. We waited until 5 pm EST because Krispy Kreme serves hot doughnuts off the line (as per what is on their website and mobile app). We live almost an hour from Krispy Kreme, so making the special trip there is a big deal. I ordered two dozen glazed, expecting to receive the ones hot off the line. The person working the counter told us, sorry, we are not allowed to sell you those today; we can only sell you the green doughnuts (for St. Patrick's Day). With both of my kids standing there beside me, I asked again if there was a way to receive the hot ones. My kids are 9 and 11 (one of whom has autism). The person working refused to sell us the hot doughnuts. Neither of my sons wanted an assorted dozen or to eat the green doughnuts, which were essentially the original glazed with green food coloring (cold, not hot off the line as anticipated). We left without buying anything, and the couple in front of us did the same thing. One of my sons, who worked extremely hard in school to earn his treat, was in tears about how everything played out. Due to the St. Patrick's Day promotion, the hot light hours should have been adjusted to reflect that no customers could buy hot donuts during the normally listed hot light hours.

Ordered delivery dozen donuts, 5 drinks. Got donuts, 3 random drinks and a sprite. The dasher must have had the drinks for over an hour. All ice melted and one of them was in a paper cup that had basically deteriorated. NO ONE EVER ANSWERED THE PHONE AT KRISPY KREME. And I tried for awhile. Tried to make the best out of it for my kids but the drinks only tasted like straight water. $40 plus $5 for almost nothing and can't even get someone from the store to answer me.
