We've always liked Fat Maddie's, but hadn't been there for quite awhile. This time it was really good! I recommend you go now 'cuz the food was very good. The staff very friendly and welcoming.
My salad had bacon in it, not featured on the menu, I’m allergic to meat, could not eat it and we were on the road not able to turn around. We had ordered sweet potato fries which were undercooked, couldn’t eat those either. My husband had a burger that was “meh”. In short, spent 30$ on food that was inedible!
My wife and I stopped here on our way through town to grab something to eat on the road. I ordered a burger with sweet potato fries and she got the Mediterranean salad. After grabbing our food and getting on the road she began to eat her salad and quickly noticed their was bacon in it. She is a vegetarian and ordered a vegetarian salad. Nowhere on the menu is bacon listed as an ingredient for this salad. Obviously this was upsetting and she wasn't able to eat any of her salad. My burger was ok at best but the issue was the sweet potato fries. They were completely undercooked and had no seasoning. I watched the cook put them directly from the frier into a bowl and then into my box without seasoning them at all. The fries themselves were so undercooked they were inedible. All in all a very disappointing meal for the $30+ we paid.
Just came in for a bite to eat from traveling all day long. I was welcomed immediately by James who made me feel like I was coming home to visit family for a home cooked meal. I enjoyed the New York steak with blue cheese and mushrooms along with sautéed veggies and a cup of the lentil soup. Everything was amazing. James checked in on me as well as the other patrons so efficiently all while delivering food and taking orders along the way. James reminded me that everything was home made to order and nothing disappointed. I will definitely be back for sure.
