Excellent food! I had the oxtails, greens, peas and rice and my mother had the stew chicken version. Service was great and so was the music. Definitely a vibe and will definitely be back!
I had to come and give a review, I ordered yuca fries & the oxtail bowl and let me just say, I am soooooooooooooo impressed. everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. fall off the bone meat. crispy and lightly salted yuca. I will definitely be coming back again. this flavor is a mix of soul food and caribbean cuisine together so it's not the most super authentic taste but none the less everything was so so so so good. wow.
I liked vibe and staff's kindness. But to be honest, the oxtail bowl was quite expensive considering the portion and taste. It was a good experience to try a Panamanian dish, but I don't think I will revisit.
Drove down from the valley just to try this place and being it was our first time here, the food and service was TOP NOTCH! we shall definitely return. Vegetarian options: The Veggie bowl is amazing, some of the best greens I ever had.
This place is a vibe. The oxtails are amazing as well as the jerk chicken definitely 10/10 customer service was warming and welcoming definitely going back
Walked in well after closing time with my date and the owner was still gracious enough to serve us some jerk chicken and Mac and cheese which was delicious. They have my support 100% anytime in LA
This amazing place offer you delight Caribbean food very delicious and price very good!!
I really want to like this place. But its apparently priced for the area and the rich folk who live around there. Los Angeles is themed as a place where the rich live. Restaurants fail to understand that 85%, if not more live check to check. Most if not all are penny pinching and robbing Peter to pay Paul and John. $25 bucks for a bowl of 5-6 mini jerk drums and mostly rice, or a bowl of of rice with 4 or 5 Oxtails and mainly rice again is unsustainable. I just stopped going anywhere, where I have to eat again after I eat there. The newness eventually wears out or people find better places. In truth this place is fire but the price cannot make up for the undersized portions. I can buy 2 packs of oxtails for what one bowl costs here. I wont even speak on chicken. Basically I go to the hood to get my plates. I'll pay $30 and drive farther for a full plate 8-10 oxtails with extra gravy rice and peas and a full portion of cabbage. And I'll still only do this rarely. I wish you the best seams like a good spot. Its just too excessively overpriced priced per portion for my bank account.
