The restaurant is not halal certified i called in checked with the employee
I usually dont give harsh reviews but this place needs improvement. 1. Only one server for the entire establishment, we went on a Monday so not sure if they are lean during Mondays, took us really long to get our orders taken. 2. Darkest restroom feels sketchy going inside. Needs bright lights 3. Chicken tikka masala / kebab was dry and was fighting its way down my throat. Tikkas need to be juicy with a touch of fire, giving smokey taste. Not the other way around when food is obliterated with fire and overcooked. 4. Goat Biryani was dry, first time i have seen a menu like this which had biryani listed as one item and protein or vegetarian as options, when the server was noting the order for biryani asked us about the choice of protein she lost me there. Biryanis are cooked with its protein, my guess was correct seemed like the long grain rice was mixed with protein before serving. 5. Drinks Menu had option to check with the server about local craft beers, we asked and she went to serve other customers instead, i can sympathize with her being the only one there. When she got back, she said they don’t have craft beer. We chose blue moon and ended up drinking from bottled beer. Almost all the restaurants near Indy have blue moon on tap. Hope they improve on the points above, while coming out I overheard that the sister establishment in Carmel is better than here. If thats the case, then these two places are not run with same standards. Vegetarian options: The Paneer tikka masala was dry and had a hint of sweetness which was surprising
I go here regularly, and the food is always great
The food is good but they never order enough of anything. I have been here 6 times the first time I had okra and since they never seem to have it. Today we tried to order 2 drinks. Surprise surprise they didn't have it
Great food and friendly staff. Very impressed!
Aroma is consistently good. The prices are a little higher than at other Indian restaurants, but the serving portions are generous and the food is always tasty. I've been here several times and have had the goat curry, lamb, chicken, etc. I haven't had a dish that disappointed. I'm a big fan of the samosas and garlic naan. They are must-haves for whatever you pick.
The food was delicious! I asked for medium heat and my eyes were watering by the second bite! The chairs, tables, and dishes are all in need of upgrades. They do look worn, but I definitely enjoyed the experience!
Best Indian Restaurant in the Downtown!
