Raised in Louisiana, moved to California, went to Columbus on vacation. What a surprise to find some of the most authentic Cajun food since Louisiana. Nothing fancy for sure, but definitely reminds me of a good home-cooked dinner in Louisiana. Got a chance to talk to the owner of this location, and just in southern hospitality fashion got to know a little backstory about him and his family and the restaurant. Was kind of a nice treat. Hopefully, next time I get a chance to visit, they’ll have some shrimp and grits, and then I would surely pack up and move to Ohio!
Very small menu and nothing fried so not totally representative of Cajun cuisine which was a small disappointment. Prices are good. Bread is really good and so are the beignets. The stews are good too. Not full service which I like. I still don’t understand why full service is so common in restaurants . Makes the meal price so much higher. I’ll be back soon.
