Topgolf

We visited again Topgolf this past Tuesday due to their half price deal. Given the normal pricing for the time we attended, half off is a big draw. We've been here several times and have had an enjoyable time previously (I'd given them 5 stars previously), but there were a several things about this most recent visit that made the play experience significantly less enjoyable. The first was damage to the "fairway" area specifically around the holes. More than once, our balls were impeded or outright stopped by areas where the turf was either missing or flipped up on the lip of the holes. This resulted in balls not rolling into the holes as they normally would have. While being denied points is no big deal for me and my wife, this was very disappointing for kids as they score fewer points in general. A different issue which had the same overall result was the untimely manner in which balls were collected from the range. By the time we finished our 2-hour round, there were so many balls sitting on the turf that a roller had about a 50/50 chance of running into another ball and having its path altered. Balls were only being collected from the range for about 30 minutes at the beginning of our 2-hour time slot. The rest of the time, balls being hit onto the range just sat there in large quantities. The last and most frustrating thing about our trip was the frequency at which balls that were clearly hit into a scoring receptacle weren't registered. I'd guess that 1 out of 4 balls that should have resulted in points weren't counted; every time a ball went in, we had to sit and wait to see if our score would actually be updated. This was doubly irritating when the flight path replay clearly showed a ball landing squarely in the hole. My oldest son (age 10) is extremely competitive and is on the autism spectrum, so fairness is paramount to him; losing a streak of points because the equipment isn't working as it should was disheartening to him to the point of making him want to stop playing. Once again, we did enjoy our time at TopGolf in Huntsville overall, but when the cost is nearly $100 for 2 hours of play, 1 beer, 1 mixed drink, and 2 sodas on a half price Tuesday, I think it's more than reasonable to expect the facility to function as designed. Unless these problems are rectified in the future, I suspect it will be a while before we return.

BIASED!!..Racist????…This was the WORDT Experience Ever!!!..We reserved our time online…paid our deposit…arrived on time!!!..We were not allowed to go to the TOP Teir but were only allowed on the first floor…Interestingly enough ALL the BLACK peoples there were on the First Floor!!!..And most compelling was the TOP Floor ONLY had WHITE people!!!!..NOT one person that was BLACK!!!!..I’m not sure why the staff thought this was the best idea or were they directed to do so!!???..It absolutely ruined my BIRTHDAY!!!..When we tried to talk to staff they told us we had the option to leave!!!!..I was in tears!!!..I felt overlooked…marginalized…and UNWANTED!!!..Please don’t come here if you’re a person of color!!!!..

The front desk and platinum folks are great to me, 5 stars to them. Bay service never puts up a flag or adds discounts. 1.5 hours and no drink refills. Server never came back to ask if I wanted food or drinks.

Was impressed with the technology and the golf but that was about it. Service was not great and extremely slow. Some Food came out an hour after ordering, we were about to leave bc our time was up. My drink was wrong twice. I didn’t have the heart to send it back the 2nd time after it took 30m to make it the second time. (Skinny marg from your menu). This was my first time at a Top Golf so I had no idea how it worked. Called to get some more information as I was booking for a group of 8 and the person I spoke to couldn’t have been more rude and told me to check out the FAQ page on their website. This place could be much greater than it is just need some help on the service and food & beverage side of the house.

Surprisingly good fun. Lots of game choices to keep it exciting. Download the app and save some $$$.

Played about 90 minutes. Had the pepperoni flatbread pizza, and the new Dirty Dr Pepper. Food was fantastic, service was super friendly and helpful, and didn't have to wait too long for a bay to open up. Will be back

The experience itself is fine, food is good, but what an eyesore. Putting a giant net in the town's skyline, that's an idea.
