Love it here. Had the sag paneer and fhe lamb korma. Both were exceptional. Service was friendly and prompt.
I ordered 1 Lamb Biryani, 2 samosas, 4 naan (got only 1) 1 Chicken Tikka Masala, 1 smoked baigan roll and 1 Rogan Josh - $98+. The lamb biryani was horrible and loaded with salt and the lamb pieces were rubbery and very salty. The samosas were horrible, definitely not fresh and and loaded with salt. I was sent 1 naan while I paid for 4. The chicken Tikka was the only item that was not overly salty, the sauce was decent, but the chunks of chicken were very dry. The smoked baigan was the worst, could not even swallow the first bite as it was loaded with salt. The chunky tomato sauce in the Rogan Josh was nice and not salty, but the lamb in it was very salty and dry. I am Indian and this was a disgrace that this is the type of food is sold to customers. It is clear that all of this food is old due to the massive amount of salt which is how restaurants keep food from spoiling. I threw it all in the garbage. A waste of $98+ and a $13 tip. I read reviews and those who wrote positive reviews may love salt and probably don't know about decent Indian food or it's possible that the food served in the restaurant is different than the garbage send for takeout orders. Trust me, the salt was so bad I could not swallow and nothing was fresh and it was very old food. I am Indian.
Great place with amazing service and food is worth it. Very affordable. Don't forget to try the mango lassi.
ordered delivery and saw roach coming out of the order! disgusting! never going there again!
All the food is great and the servers are really nice!
My friends and I were craving for Indian food. We tried Tikka Grill in their Astoria location. The experience was great. Food was great and tasty! The service was great! Definitely coming back.
Super flavorful and they don’t hold back on the spice! Will definitely be going back. Also great spot for byob if you’re looking for cheap eats!!
While I've dined inside twice before and always enjoyed the delicious food and wonderful service, today I opted for take out and ordered ahead on-line. I was not disappointed. I received the same warm welcome when I arrived and actually received a text that said my food was ready a few minutes early. Great day for chicken vindaloo, delicious and spicy. Parking: As with any business in the area, on street parking is non-existent during mid-day business rush hours. There are spots for paid parking on the street, but you've got to circle to find them. There is a paid municipal parking lot up the hill at 30th Ave and 38th Street.
Oh Tikka Indian Grill...your food is great, when we actually receive what we order! The first time I ordered TIG, it was through ubereats from the Kew gardens location. Ordered goat biryani, which I read rave reviews about, and was excited. Imagine my dismay when I opened my container, and it was chicken biryani! It was delicious, but still, not what I ordered! My husband and I decided to give them another chance, and since then, we love ordering from TIG. Today, my husband was around the Astoria location and decided to pick up food, and ordered a coconut shrimp dish. IMAGINE his disappointment when he came home and they gave him butter chicken! ♀️ Paid $5 extra for shrimp, and they gave him a chicken dish. Listen, we'll still order from TIG because their food is consistently good, but we'll definitely be checking our orders for takeout at the store and delivery as soon as it arrives going forward. @Management, maybe retrain expo and make sure all orders are accurate? This has happened twice and we're willing to overlook it, but a third time....
