The Library

A real dive bar, not a wanna-be dive bar! We went to The Library on a recent Friday night and it reminded me of the way most of the bars in the East Village used to be many years ago. If you like 80s and 90s alternative and punk music, you will never find a better juke box. Don't change anything, please!

Bartenders were actually nice it’s a dive bar.. but added 20 dollars on the tip if you pay by card which is illegal as hell and I tried to call and ask about it after i went back home, but no phone or email is posted to the company very sad they did that. just pay cash if you go

Someone brought me here once and let me walk around on the full length of the bar, I truly had the best time of my life. I was stepping on clean coasters, tasting peoples drinks, the bartender gave me plenty of pets. I heard they write their own tips if you pay by card but I’m a dog, I don’t have money

The female bartender (short hair & tattoos) had such a nasty attitude when ordering drinks. Plenty of other bars on this street save your time & money and go elsewhere!

Wouldn’t accept my passport, in the freezing cold, no less.

Very good beer! We will come back!

I have great memories here. I hope to go back there again.
