Went for a brunch event. Great venue - we sat outside and it was lovely. Coffee was great.
We had brunch here on Easter and the Fig tree hash really hit the spot! The over easy eggs were perfectly runny and the hashbrowns were just crispy enough. Sitting outside on the porch was a nice way to spend time with family and spend the holiday.
5 out of 5. This was such a pleasant experience. The chef came out and spoke with us, it wasn't overly crowded like most brunch places these days, and the food was SO good.
If you love high-quality, amazing food and enjoy Southern cuisine, I cannot recommend this place enough. The culinary attention to detail in every dish is truly outstanding. Do not be deceived by the humbleness of the menu; every single dish is deceptive in its simplicity. When you take a bite you experience multiple dimensions of flavor. We had several dishes and all of them were amazing. I also had the best piece of chicken I have ever had in my life… and that is saying a lot. I only wish I was a local, because I would be there at least once a week!
My wife and I tried The Fig Tree last night for the first time and it was very good. The chef has a flair for southern/cajun food and the menu shows it. I got the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and okra. The chicken was very good and the potatoes were good but the okra seems to be frozen and not fresh. My wife got the chef's pasta and it was very tasty. The space is sort of small and not very appealing but the food makes up for it. The prices were a little high as well but with a small space, it has to be made up somewhere to stay open.
AMAZING FOOD & AMAZING SERVICE! I can’t recommend this place enough. Chef JP and his team are so great! 10/10 would recommend!
The chef is very down to earth and makes incredible food! He came out to talk to us and made sure we enjoyed our food since they were out of an ingredient. The food was still phenomenal. He could easily have not told me and I wouldn't have noticed. We will be back again soon!
