Absolute worst Guinness pour I've ever had, so disappointing. I walked in and showed the hostess the "Tavern on the Row" picture that shows here on Google and asked if I'm in the right place. She says yes, that's us. It's not the same place at all. This is a different bar, different owner.
This restaurant is no longer in business & a new restaurant took its place.
No longer here!!! Closed down
Came for a comedy show and the food and atmosphere were great!
Owner gives away thousands of dollars of shots to all his patrons and gives speeches about how amazing he is constantly, but on the back end all his checks are bouncing and he can't pay his employees. Worked a few shifts for this terrible company as an independent contractor Bartender. The existing bartenders find a way to swindle you out of your tips and keep them for themselves, then they couldnt find my checkS when it was time to get paid, now they must be lost and "they will call me" and let me know. JOKE ! According to all employees, the checks are bouncing, and no one can get their money. Get you ish together. Pay your employees! Then focus on fixing your overpriced menu and the terrible service that comes along with it. I've honestly never seen such a terrible operation in my life. Its either straight out delusion, or they're paying people to give good reviews..
So, I visited last Sunday for their comedy show. I was excited, but my expectations were not met, to say the least. The comedy show was good, but they lacked in ALL other areas. First of all, they have SO many rules and regulations, I felt like my lawyer needed to look them over before I proceeded . They were out of popular menu items, and they kitchen was slow. The food was ok, and at least they had a nice wine selection. I won't be returning on purpose, tho lol.
They forgot to bring me my food. The fries were a little cold, but otherwise, it was good. I would recommend this place.
Food was fine, standard 3/5 bar fare (heavily battered, etc.). Beer selection was noticeably small/poor. Service was terrible. We were the only people in the place except for one party of ~8 in the back, yet it was a struggle to get our waiter’s attention. Not to mention the said party was black-out drunk (two women were walking around the restaurant leaning on each other, falling down on the floor several times) and this was lunch at 11:30am - goes to show the type of clientele they attract. Interior is dive-y cheap, not super clean but not terrible either. I likely won’t be coming back.
The place is nice in size, decor and setup. Ample seating, decent menu for drinks and food. Was at the venue for a comedy show, the place was packed. The bar was short staffed this night and it took a little while to get drink orders filled; typical wait was about 20 minutes. Food orders were tricking out at a similar pace (I didn't order food here). While the place isn't really setup for live performances (no stage or installed speaker system) they made it work. There are dozens of TV's all over the place and with the performance being displayed on all the TV's it was very easy to follow the act. Overall a decent place, would return for casual dinner and cocktail.
