Tajima Ramen College Heights

Everytime I go to this restaurant the experience is very positive. There is a specific server named Alex who is always joyful while working and gives amazing service every single time he's working with us. The food is always good too. Parking situation kinda sucks but that's not their fault.

Great food. Good service. Great atmosphere. Their Tajima fries (loaded fries) is so good. Their matcha refresher is so refreshing too. I never had matcha that is not latte (with milk). They nailed it with their matcha refresher. I had tajima black which is basically tonkutso ramen with black garlic sauce and my husband had carnitas ramen. It's a Mexican inspired Japanese ramen. It's comparable to Nishikki's takuma except that it has Mexican twist with the carnitas, cilantro leaves and lime I love the pork chasu on my black tajima ramen. It's thick, authentic chasu and the fat melts in my mouth. Just love it. I just wish that our server would check on us instead of me calling his attention every time we need something.

Everytime I visit this restaurant I always have an amazing experience. Everyone is very nice and welcoming but there is one person specifically that always brightens my day. Alex is an amazing server and always looks so happy and excited to be there. My husband and I always get 10/10 service here and the food is delicious as well.

Good sorry for when you need some ramen in a pinch, can be a little on the higher end for ramen and falls in my category of Mediocre San Diego food; Just good enough to fill the void.

Amazing ramen and great service

We always enjoy their food. Even appetizers are great (chicken wings and takoyaki are my favorites.) Price is very reasonable for the good quality of food you are getting. However it feels like the service has become really slow and you need to wait for way longer now for your food ever since they changed it to full service restaurant. (Plus they have a lot of take out orders) You used to be able to just order from the counter which saves a lot of time and you don’t have to wait for someone to come take your order and give you the check. I definitely prefer the old way of ordering. It saved so much time and seemed to be more efficient. Hope they will bring that back again.

Beer glass was dirty, but I didn't notice it until I was halfway done with it, so I just finished it. Whatever.. but then, we were literally going to get charged for an extra spice paste by one of the girls who were seating guests...(not the lady with the covid mask). SO WERE CHARGING FOR A 1oz metal cup of spice paste now thats not even filled up, even tho I requested the noodles spicy. Gotcha. Take out it is...
