Star of India

Late review, was in town last week on business and did a little research for good restaurants in close proximity to my hotel and Star of India looked like a great option. Let me tell you, I love Indian food. This place is legit. The Naan, Butter Chicken and Chicken Tandoori were absolutely delicious! Both had generous amounts of sauce, excellent quality Chicken and the basmati rice was cooked perfectly. I wish we had a Star of India in Huntsville, AL!! I will definitely go out of my way to visit again the next time I'm in tien! Delicious!

This might be more of a 3.5 star review but the courteous service pushed it to 4. Overall a fine experience at SOI. The restaurant is a bit worn but clean and nicely decorated. The food was fairly average, with no dishes really calling for a return visit. It seems like a perfectly fine standby for a local curry spot, but traveling across town seems too far considering how much new Indian there is now.

It has taken a year to write this review and I have been meaning to leave it for quite some time, that’s the kind of impression this place left on my crew. First time eating Indian dishes and it exceeded my expectations. This family owned restaurant treated us like regulars and although I wish we were, we live 2,500 miles away and I still crave their food. The story behind how this place began and what they do without bragging is phenomenal. I would give a million stars if I could. Much love.

I grew up on food from this restaurant, and to this day, it is still one of my favorites.

I've been to a lot of India restaurants, and thus far Star of India is my favorite!! From customer service, dine in, take out you always get the best in quality!! Aurora is very fortunate to have Star of India in our community!!

Oh my goodness. The food is DELICIOUS! The staff is friendly, the space is open an inviting, it's clean. But oh my goodness. The food! You simply must eat here! Flavorful, perfectly spiced, filling, just simply delicious.
