I had no idea they were open for breakfast. I frequent DFW often and seem to always choose TGI Fridays for breakfast before my flight. I decided to try Einstein Bros Beagles, when I noticed Sonny's was open. The service was quick and friendly. I had the brisket, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, it was delicious. I will be back and highly recommend trying it out.
There is no bad BBQ. There is good Bbq better bbq and great bbq. This was good bbq. I had a brisket sandwich. The smoke flavor was almost nonexistent. Properly cooked, the fat in a brisket and the connecting gristle are completely melted. This was undercooked and a bit chewy. The tried to overcome that by chopping it into chunks but it was not enough. The sauce and bun were nice. Being an airport location they have a captive customer base so they get away with it.
I unfortunately found several feathers in my chicken sandwich. Wish I was joking.
My order was in correct. I tried to ask for it to be corrected by cooks and cashier. Instead of remaking it, they just warmed up a biscuit and gave it to me. ♀️ The brisket was shredded, dry and lacked flavor. I expect better quality in Texas, airport or now. Potatoes were fresh. Not worth price. I wouldn't come here again. Go to somewhere else in the airport. Maybe their dinner is better than breakfast. Below are pics of the sandwich and bread they originally had it on. What I ordered was a biscuit with bacon and cheese.
Breakfast sandwich with brisket was awesome, service was great ((Derrick), great ending to a Christmas DFW visit!
Experienced terrible service here today during lunch; Server was extremely rude from the start - probably racist too - and the guy threatened to “call security” because I purchased a water bottle by myself and he didn’t believe me. He then proceeded to furiously check his logs to make sure I actually did buy the bottle of water (which I did). I’m honestly shocked at how disrespectful and antagonistic this guy was for no reason. Completely uncalled for.
I wasn’t feeling well and desperately needed to buy water before our 6:— AM flight. The only reason I went to Sonny Bryan’s was because there was a long line at other restaurants nearby and they had a self-checkout counter for water, chips, etc. Anyway, I picked a bottle of water and saw someone in my peripheral vision run out from the back. I was having a little difficulty with the scanning machine. I turned to look at the person who ran out from the back. She was standing there staring at what I was doing with such an unpleasant look. She did not offer any assistance, but just kept staring with a scowl on her face. Finally, I get to the card payment and did the tap to pay instead of inserting it. That didn’t work, so I turned to the woman and asked if she worked there. She said, “Yes”. I asked her if the tap usually works. She said, “Maybe your card don’t work because lots of customers came before and theirs worked.” I let her know that my card was good and tried the tap again so she could see. Since that didn’t work, I inserted the card and it worked with no problem. She then went back behind the counter to continue staring. I was feeling too sick to ask for a manager or anything, but that was a horrible way to treat a customer. I said, “Thank you” (even though there was no reason to) and left.
