Solana Sumptuous Cookies

Can’t enough about their cookies, wow. I don’t think they make a bad one. You can tell that they use high quality ingredients including a great tasting chocolate. Very friendly with a lot of patience for first timers (us!). The raspberry choc cookie is a must try as it’s very unique and my son said it was the best cookies that he’s ever had besides a scratch cookie made at our bakery / coffee shop before we sold it this past June. (We know and love cookies).

Unfortunately I have to say that I was underwhelmed overall. We had 2 a la modes and a chocolate shake. The ice cream is Niederfranks and we had the salted caramel, it needed more salt to qualify as salted caramel imo. I had a chocolate/white chocolate cookie with salted caramel on top... I would sprinkle some salt on top of it to elevate. For those prices, just not what I expected.

Omg omg omg no joke best cookies in SD. Try the Solana Beach cookie and the Scarlett letter with fresh raspberries and Peruvian chocolate, and my favorite, the Black Lava toffee, with crunchy butter toffee on top and yummy melts in your mouth semi sweet chocolate.

The semi sweet chocolate chip cookie is the best chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had! Perfectly baked and delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try the other flavors.

WOW!! The cookies we ordered for our employee Birthdays in November were simply amazing. The flavors were so different and new. The trifecta was a big hit along with the scarlet letter. We will be ordering from them again, often! The communication was great and the delivery was smooth and prompt.

Best cookies around! My family and I always have to stop in for a half dozen when we are in town! Service is always so friendly and cookies are always fresh. We love any of their peanut butter cookies, and definitely try their Solana beach cookie!

I’ve been a Solana Sumptuous cookie fan since they opened . 5 years later they still make the best cookies in the universe. So it makes me sad to read the negative reviews complaining about their pricing which I believe to be very fair when you consider the quality of the ingredients they use specifically their chocolate and organic ingredients. The owner will tell you herself that this is a hobby business for her. No one is getting ripped off and if you feel that way go elsewhere and leave the cookies for the rest of us to enjoy.

Average cookies, extremely rude owner. I placed an order via telephone for 18 assorted cookies which, according to the price list on their website, should have been $46.50. I was charged $60.16. I assumed it was an honest mistake so I mentioned it when I went to pick them up and the owner refused to refund me the difference. She claimed the pricing sheet online was old, even though it was also printed out in hard copy form in the store. She also informed me that the assorted cookies comes with multiple specialty cookies which have additional charges associated with them, even though this wasn’t indicated on the pricing sheet or mentioned on the phone. Lastly, she tacked on a 5% service charge to “cover operating expenses”. She said if I wanted it removed she would charge me sales tax which is higher, even though I don’t think you can charge sales tax on takeout baked goods in the state of California. I was in a rush so I paid the 60 for my 18 average cookies, but I left feeling scammed and shocked at the owner’s attitude and complete lack of desire to make customers happy. They lost a local customer
