Great place to go for Halal food. Zaki is very great and welcoming. Hands down the best beef shawarma I’ve had in a while. Loads of flavour!

This is a great place to get beef gyros, beef/chicken shawrama, rice, freshly made falafel and pitas...they also make the pitas as they're ordered..so good! The seasoning could more intense, but that's my taste. Alone the food is delicious because of its freshness and quality ingredients. The one exception is the "white sauce"; a common issue with the Greek/Persian/Middle Eastern places in Austin generally. I order my food plain and add my own garlic, cucumber, dill tzatziki at home. Sorry, I couldn't hold back to take pics. Next time, I promise, it disappeared quickly it was so good! I highly recommend the place. I typically order out, but the place is nice; it's a regular deli setting. The staff are great. They're very friendly, nice guys! Just a tip, be prepared with your chosen translator app and set it for Turkish. It will help if you need to ask questions. Some of the guys are taking ESL classes but have to work a lot. The food is so good I'm not surprised....I had a couple convos with them while I was waiting for my food. Like I said, friendly, nice guys. And don't forget the baklava; it's pistachio and it's delicious Parking: Parking is available on both sides of the street. Shops compete for available parking, but I usually can find a couple open spots.

Wow!! If what you are looking for is a real hamburger, you should definitely come to Shishman.

Food truck ran through a red light in traffic putting others in danger.

It’s in a good location. But the gyro chicken plate we ordered was not the gyro we ate several other Mediterranean restaurants. They carve the chicken, but here they reheated chicken and served it on a plate. Falafel was sour and clearly not fresh. Sorry for the negative review. Maybe their equipment was broken, I dont know.
