I love this location so much. All the staff I've interacted with is so sweet and helpful and I like starting my morning chatting and laughing with them. The donuts and kolaches are affordable and tasty obviously, but the staff is why I keep coming to this location in particular.
I enjoy coming here but I hate the fact that Everytime I do, they ask for a tip through the drive through. Not once in a while, but Everytime.
I was shocked to see employees, making donuts with bare hands and no gloves!
We heard about Shipley's, so had to make a stop when we came to Austin. They have a ton of donuts and it was hard to decide on just a dozen! They were super friendly and helpful, and most of all patient. The donuts were fabulous and some of the best filled I've ever had!
I grew up on Shipley’s donuts, I love the donuts there. But this location has some issues. I’ve been a few times since this location’s opening and it’s clear this location isn’t being run well. I ordered a mixed dozen box of donuts, and rather than the employee picking donuts out and putting them in a box, she grabbed a premade box from the bottom shelf of the counter. Suspect. I even joked: “Well, how long have they been there?” she didn’t answer, but upon opening the box I can tell that these are leftover yesterday’s donuts or from way earlier this morning. It’s not even the right selection for the mixed dozen. This all happened today, on a Sunday morning at 10 AM. Also, they ran out of coffee and I didn’t have the time to wait for them to brew an entire new pot. It’s a simple product, donuts and coffee, but it’s the little things that matter the most. Fresh coffee, fresh donuts…. Not cold smushed donut holes. Disappointing.
The cream-filled maple log was not very cream filled unfortunately. But the cream-filled donuts were good.
