Sushi is ok, but service is lacking. They don’t put wasabi in with orders so if you like wasabi, I guess you have to specifically ask for it. Salad is just a bunch of whole lettuce leaves thrown in a box, like a mediocre pizza place. Whoever is crafting rolls seams to have their act together, but whoever is prepping plates and serving has zero attention to detail. Pretty disappointing.
Came here for lunch today for lunch. I knew what I wanted from their online menu so I didn’t need to see a menu. Tell her what I want only for her to come back and charge me $33 for a roll online listed as seven dollars and another listed as 11.95. When I asked to see a menu, asking her why so much? She got defensive telling me one of the rolls are no longer on the menu so they charge more. It was still a basic roll. I never asked to cancel my order but she insisted. Basically not serving me since I had a question. She was very rude and I was as polite as could be when I simply asked why.
I went to dine in there. Food was great!! Service was horrible. The waitress brought my meal with the bill and she asked right away to pay it. I put it aside and move my plate to start to eat since I was so hungry and wait for my meal almost half hour. She came again to request to pay my bill gave her my credit card and brought my back the bill and asked my for 3rd time to sign it. Which I did. I was so upset since this happen within minutes. I signed and only left less then 10% tip. She came back to arguing why I did left her less on han 10%. Asked her if there were any gravity to the bill?. Anyway no coming back there. She was rude.
Worst service ever. Waited 35 minutes for food and got cold food. Waste of time and money
Came in at around 5:15pm on a friday and got seated right away. Food and service are great. One of the freshest nigiris I've had in the area. The specialty sushi is not bad either.
After several visits I still haven't tried anything other than Shige's sushi selection so I can't comment on anything outside of the incredible nigiri that has been served to me. The blue fin belly is unbelievable. Like eating butter only better. The aji was served perfectly, and that had been (until the blue fin) the meter I gaged a true sushi chef by. If you're a true fan of nigiri, I highly recommend sitting across the chef and putting your meal in his hands.
BBQ Albacore, Wakame Salad (from Oto's), tenpura veggies, tenpura shishito appetizers were all as expected. Saporro and Echigo stout were correct in temperature and flavor. Chirashi sushi and nigiri/shishimi combo dinners were fresh and correctly prepared. Service was inconsistent and items ordered were forgotten or delayed. 10/8 '2 shot' special shown. Also pan fried Brussels Sprouts with a savory/sweet sauce (not pictured). Parking: Easy to park
