I ordered a egg and cheese croissant from the drive through.. I had to repeat my order. I received the order in a fairly quick time, tipped a dollar, and drove away. As I took a bite I noticed the first 2 bites weee just bread. I looked at the croissant and noticed a roll of ham the size of 2 fingers. I returned to the store and it was locked. I decided it was not worth driving through the drive through again. I was driving away when the woman opened the door. I explained that I had asked for egg and cheese, no meat, and received ham, and no cheese. She said wait, and went inside. I waited two minutes thinking she was correcting my order when a man came out and asked what happened. I explained what I ordered and what I received. He made a sympathetic face and said “ maybe next time”. I drove away thinking that there would not be a next time. I decided to finish the croissant to not waste it, and get my protein. After I finished the roll of ham in the center, there was six bites of croissant, with no cheese. Very soft, but rather dry and bland. I can understand a miscommunication due to language barriers or faulty intercom . But the balled up ham in the middle of a croissant with 2 inches of bread on the perimeter is a sign of someone who does not care about the product they are serving. The “maybe next time” comment says it all in regards to Customer Service. The ordering miscommunication is a forgivable mistake, but the sloppily assembled croissant, and better luck next time are both deliberate. I will not be back to this LaBou!
The atmosphere is relaxing customer care is excellent in the food is delicious Parking: It is not hard to find a spot

Love this place, one of the last still standing. So clean and smells delicious.
I love La Bou so this was heart crushing to me. I found mold on Mt croissant and didn't notice it until I started to eat my croissant at break. I love love their croissants so I am just disappointed this wasn't fresh. I have never had this problem before but now I'm not sure when I'll be getting food from there at least not for a while. Which is really upsetting because it's my go to before I start work.
I grew up in Sacramento and would go to La Bou pretty regularly. Today we are back in town for a visit and went here for brunch. Although the building is showing its age, the customer service is excellent and the food and coffee is still great! I love that they have oat milk also. Thank you!
