Delicious food and excellent service. We will be back.

A quaint steak place in an area surrounded by eateries and car lots. Me and a friend who works close to this spot (we walked over) visited. we sat at the bar, as manly men are want to do, and I ordered a favorite of me, Country Fried Steak which is excellent when done properly, and they certainly did so. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The entire place was tidy and clean. I look forward to visiting my friend so I can have an encore!

Gulf coast steak and grilled shrimp is outstanding!

Service was horrendous. It was just my wife and I. We arrived at 7:35pm. We were told that there might be a 45 minute wait, but could be less. There were very few people seated (many open tables). When we were seated, about 45 minutes later, we were still okay and in a good mood. We ordered a cheeseburger and a slice of carrot cake. We were not very hungry, and had primarily come to get a desert, but had other plans for the rest of the evening, which did not occur because of the length of time that it took to get our food. Everything took too long, given how unbusy the restaurant was while we were there. In our section of the dining room, there were a total of 4 people seated (there were other customers in other rooms/sections/bar, but there were a lot of empty tables throughout the restaurant. There was one party with several people in the next room. The bread that the waiter brought to our table was excellent. Our food was eventually brought to us at 9:30....an hour and 20 minutes after we were seated (over two hours after we had arrived at the restaurant), we received our hamburger. I had asked for a refill on water, which was never brought. We really should have left way before this, but by that point, we felt that we had invested too much time to this path to choose another then. We had ordered sweet potato fries, but our burger was brought out with regular fries, which looked bad and did not look fresh, and looked as though they had been setting for a while. They returned the whole order to the kitchen. When it was returned, the fries were hot, and the burger tasted very good. Every part of this process took too long and we were ready to leave. We had asked for the carrot cake to be brought in a to go box, and we were just going to eat it back at the room. This was forgotten by the waiter, and he had to be reminded. When he brought the ticket, there was an option to pay with your phone by scanning a code on the receipt, which we decided to do because everything was taking far too long. However, when the waiter returned, and we told him that we had paid with our phone, he acted as though he did not know that this was an option, and we had to wait while he went to discuss this with the manager. We waited for him to return as he indicated that he would do, but he never returned. Finally, we noticed this waiter, another waiter, and the apparent manager (we had never seen the manager, so we are assuming) over laughing and joking around across the dining room, and irritated, we got up, and the apparent manager looked over and simply gave us thumb's up sign, never saying anything, until I sarcastically said that I really appreciated them taking the time to come tell us, as our waiter had indicated he would do. She said that we were welcome. I said that was being sarcastic, and she said wonderful. Terrible attitude, and a complete indication as why this restaurant has a problem. We were the last to leave the restaurant, even though we were not the last to enter. Although the food was good, when it was finally delivered, the extended wait with no apologies or acknowledgment, and even a complete lack of disregard from management, makes this a restaurant that we will never return to, and which I am eager to write a bad review, which I hardly ever do. I would much rather be typing nice words, but our experience tonight, warrants a review of the management at this restaurant so that others may have a better experience than we had this evening, or so that others can choose a better option for their evening. This part of ours was very disappointing.

Husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. We’ve been here a couple of times and haven’t had any issues. I finally got a steak and he got the ribs. Pleasantly surprised with full bellies! Oh and had to get the chocolate cake! We will be back!
