1st time here. Wow! Do not pass it up in the sea of mediterranean food in the skokie/lincolnwood area. If you've been debating on whether to try (especially since previous restaurant at this location unfortunately did not make it), don't hesitate. You won't regret it. Quality and portions to price are unmatched.
I pass by this place all the time, and I finally decided to stop and try their food. It was absolutely delicious!
Me and friend order the chicken shawarma and butter chicken plate very good food and excellent service Parking: Big parking lot
Delicious fresh food. Excellent veggie platter. Very friendly workers. Thanks!
The pictures of their wraps looked good, so I went on a whim, but the food and atmosphere exceeded my expectations. Their setup reminded me of the kebab shops in Germany that I loved so much, and the taste was probably even better. I got a lamb sandwich. The meat was braised to a tender and juicy consistency. However, the best part of the sandwich was the large selection of toppings and sauces as well as the pita. I don't know if it's made fresh, but the pita tastes that way. It was hot and chewy as if the gluten structure was still fresh.
I ventured out to Lincolnwood and visited a local pita place. I was warmly greeted by Adam who assisted me in my selection. I ordered the falafel bowl with smokey or spiced rice. The falafel was cooked perfectly. The crust was crunchy but not overly cooked. I feel like a lot of other places reheat the falafel thus turning it tougher. The filling was still soft and was pleasantly enjoyable. I also got the Jerusalem salad which was light and tasty. The humus was very good as well. The prize winner was the garlic sauce though. The only way I can describe it is if a cloud was flavored with garlic and turned into a sauce. Quite frankly, it's divine. Lastly, the best part of Pita Bowl is the prices. The restaurant is well priced in an inflating society. I was checked out by Bushra who was nothing but kind to me. I highly recommend giving this place a try and making it part of the I'm tired of cooking rotation. You will not regret it!
