I'm sorry to do this but everytime I order a burger I NEVER get the correct way I want it cooked. I love a medium well burger but I get well done and sometimes rare. This is the 3rd time this has happened. Also the fries were good but was very brown to my sister's liking and her burger was rare when she ordered medium rare. Did we sent it back?..no...why? ... cause what's the point !!! Also my sister's beverage had lil specks of the machine's residue in her glass...the machine needs to be cleaned. When I come back ....I won't get a burger
This is a Chicago classic and a wonderful place to enjoy a meal throughout the year. In the winter, the fireplaces are super cozy, and in the summer the beer gardens are beautiful. This is a great place to meet friends with a friendly staff and time-tested menu. Their fries are outstanding and their burgers are legendary. Features: Outdoor seating is the OG way to social distance. This place has plenty of room outside. Vegetarian options: Great black bean burger for a change of pace! Kid-friendliness: Very responsive to kids' preferences.
One of my favorite places in the city. I always get the Moody Bleu Burger - they have the best bleu cheese I've ever had - and it was great, as usual. Brought a new friend to introduce the place to, and it didn't disappoint us. The srimp are large and tender and fried to perfection. And warning - the fries are addictive. Vegetarian options: Only one real option for vegetarians, but I've hears it's very good.
Burger was pretty good, though the bun seemed stale to me. Our server was really nice and quick. Atmosphere is great. The patio in the summer is A+. Prices were kind of weird though. Soft Drinks and Lemonades have no free refills but cost $4.50. I heard someone ask for ranch and they were informed that it would cost $1.50 extra. For a side of ranch? That doesn't make sense to me.
Moody's is such a gem. Fantastic burgers with 2 atmospheres to choose from. Either the incredibly cozy, dark, and fire-lit dining room or the open-air, green, courtyard are great choices. Service is very fast and kind. We consider this place as one of our trustee places to eat knowing we will always get a great burger. Vegetarian options: Salads and veggie burgers are on the menu.
Get the Black and Blue cheese burger!!
Never eat inside please. I visited on Feb 24th in the afternoon where there was no outdoor eating. The booth was too cramped for anyone bigger than 5' 7", the fries tasted like wet newspaper, and the room had only six-ten orb lamps that didn't function as real lighting. It felt like we were eating in a dark, wet cave with food I could have bought from Walmart. It was not prepared well; the burger I ordered came with cold onions on top. It tasted like what your uncle would make in his backyard on the fourth of July. Supremely basic. The tables were covered in cracked linoleum that grossed me out. The only good thing was that the servers were nice even though they were busy serving a party in the back. I understand there's nostalgia for this place but we did not have anything remotely close to a good experience here.
