There are some great Japanese restaurants in Atlanta but this is not one of them. The service was very slow but the worst part was the food. I ordered the the tempura and negima combo. The negima was a fun try and was the best part of my meal, although it wasn't fantastic by any means. I normally love tempura vegetables, but the ones here were quite odd. Mine included broccoli and zucchini, definitely not traditional Japanese. My partner ordered the chirashi and was disappointed. The fish was cut super thick so it was very strange to eat. Also the rice was missing the sushi vinegar. All of this lackluster food for a over $30 a meal. The quality of the food wasn't quite there for the price point.
I went here based on Sushi reviews and this is not a Sushi restaurant. Yes they have some sushi items, but it’s not great. Super disappointed… fried anything is not sushi, it’s fried fish or fried rice. Most of what they have is fried. It’s also super difficult to find.
Absolutely life changing I have been to many sushi places but this is by far the best I have ever been to!
This is our go-to for amazing sushi. The chef, Kevin, is a joy as is the main server Pat. Sit at the bar if you can so you can interact with the chef. The Super Crunch Roll, The Cowboy Hats, the Squid Salad, the Ginger Salad, the Super White, the Fried Scallops… I could go on and on. It’s really amazing food.
Great sushi and very reasonable prices given how good the food is. You get the sense this little kitschy gem has been tucked away for decades and overall totally worth it!
Been hear twice already this year. My husband and I 1st came here almost 10 yrs ago. It was our favorite spot to come on special occasions. Now we can come on regular basis and the food is still amazing. Fresh sushi, they actually fried the tempura fresh right before they roll into sushi. Once you try it, you will not go to other sushi places because you now know what fresh taste like. The price is very reasonable. Super busy on the weekends. Weekdays might be less wait.
