Great service! And amazing food
Food was absolutely delicious!
We came for a fine dining experience and left almost immediately. Here’s why: initially after the waiter first greeted us, he stopped short to converse with another customer, excusing himself afterwards that the newly arrived customer comes first and we come second (his actual words), I assume since he might be a recurring customer. The interaction between the waiter and the other customer didn’t bother us, it was the way the waiter “excused” himself that did it. Very unprofessional. The beef cigars we ordered were dry (meaning the meat inside), the risotto had pieces of hard, dried out mushrooms that were inedible and the arais was nothing special either, it didn’t taste like much. Additionally the daiquiris we asked for tasted like water, sweet syrup and ice- very sugary. After just starting on the appetizers and seeing that we were unhappy with whatever we tasted, we asked to cancel the main. Instead of doing so, they quickly brought out the main. I have never left a bad review, I just felt compelled to now, being that our experience was so negative. Edit: We got a phone call in the airport on our way home from Eve, she wanted to offer complimentary desserts on the house to make up for our experience, but since it was too late she offered a partial refund of $70 (out of the $220 we spent). We appreciated the effort Meatbar made to try and work things out. I’m changing the rating to 3/5 instead of 2/5 stars because of that.
Beautiful meal celebrating a special birthday. The steaks were amazing, mushroom risotto off scale, and so much more. Deliciously attractive dessert was presented laden with fresh sliced fruits and pastries!
