Tammy was a wonderful and accommodating host and Alex was friendly and made sure the experience was the most exciting and enjoyable!!!

Tammy our hostess went above and beyond to get us seated and Alex our server was knowledgeable and a ton of fun. Food was exceptional and came quickly. Great atmosphere and fun place.

UPDATE: We came back tonight 3/29/24 and it's even worse than it was 3 years ago! The waitress was the worst part of our experience tonight. She had a major attitude, she never brought me my coffee and acted put out that I even ordered it, she stood over me as I paid, and she watched me select the tip amount on the machine like she was intimidating me. That whole "pay at the table" handheld thing is awful and the tables are so friggin close that the other waitresses butt was on my straw!!! Ugh. It's nothing more than a tourist trap and a watering hole. OLD REVIEW: The food was good. Nothing amazing and nothing bad but nothing new. Same old, same old. We are both very disappointed they changed their menu awhile back and don't understand why they did away with such awesome menu selections. The menu is so boring now, but we keep coming back for the atmosphere. However, service was really horrible here tonight, and that's not usually been my experience. Our waitress could care less about us, and all her other tables for that matter, and she acted as though she was bothered just by being there. We felt totally ignored and then to top it all off, she literally stood over me when I grabbed the check just to look at the total and said "I'll just stand here and wait for you to pay", and I wasn't even ready to pay yet! I was enjoying the band and watching the dancers and asked if they had a certain dessert and instead of checking, she shrugged her shoulders and said "no" like even if they did, she wasn't going to get it for me. Plus, she didn't even bother asking if we wanted another dessert or coffee. It was very obvious she just wanted us all out of there as quickly as possible, and if Mattisons didn't have such a nice ambience and fun atmosphere, I would never be returning after tonight's experience. However, being that we are locals and it's a staple for us, I'm sure we will be back to give it another go. We just won't be in a rush to return this time.

I spent $20 for a hamburger and it was probably the driest, most tasteless burger I’ve ever had. I know it’s hard to find a good burger in Fl, but I could have gotten just as bad a burger at Culver’s for half the price. My wife said her fish tacos were also tasteless; not enough seasonings. The sides were very good; the steak fries were hot and delicious and the apple slaw was very good. I like the area, so I may come again, but next time just get sides.
