If you are allured at the idea of eating at a Lorena Garcia restaurant, this will not leave a good impression of what she puts her name on. The already overpriced airport food was made worse by the subpar quality. Black beans were flavorless and soup was over salted. I ordered a clear alcoholic beverage and the ice had floaties in it. I went to the bar to ask for a fresh one and the grumpy bartender barked out that someone else would remake it without acknowledging the grossness while he dumped the drink, annoyed that I would bother him. The only bright spot of the experience was the server Jervonne and the young person bringing food out. They get 5s but stars had to balance out the bartender.

I came through during an hour or so layover. Sat at the bar for a solid 15 minutes—no one acknowledged me, made eye contact, or bothered to take a drink order. I eventually gave up and walked a couple gates down where I actually had good service (and a bar top that wasn’t filthy). Literally go anywhere else in DFW.

I recently dined at Tappas y cocina at Dallas Airport and had a very good experience. The restaurant has tasteful decor and is very clean. The Latino music playing in the background added to the ambiance. The service was just okay, but the highlight was the surprising deliciousness of the chicken and rice chupe soup. The grilled chicken, fresh veggies, and perfectly cooked rice made it a satisfying choice, especially for airport food. Overall, I would recommend giving Tappas y cocina a try if you're at Dallas Airport."

Had a nice glass of chardonnay and French fries while waiting for my flight home at the DFW airport. Vegetarian options: Some pizzas, fries, sides, and small plates are veggie.

Had to wait forever to get service. Could not get bar tender’s attention. Don’t know what I did to annoy her but she personally seems to dislike me.

I would not recommend the soup.

Ordered an overpriced wrap that was too much tortilla and too little stuffing, and a popcorn that was stale. Sat down at a table with low blood sugar to eat in the airport after not eating all day and had a lady accost me that I needed to sit in one of four highboy chairs for to go customers. Two of the four chairs were occupied and the entire seating area was not. The seating was for “in diners”. What the hell? Bad food, attitude, and inconvenient eating space. I threw my food away and walked away. Can someone please put these people out of business?!

In reference to the DFW location, the two bartenders couldn’t care less about their patrons. For what you pay for alcohol and food, I would expect more. Not a smile or any hint of engagement you would expect from a bartender. Definitely just punching the clock … oh well. At the end of the day it’s an airport bar .
