Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen

The Crawfish etouffee was delicious! The excellent service was very prompt, friendly, and professional. The spacious, beautifully decorated dinning room had a great ambiance. Pappadeux is easily my #1 choice for an enjoyable dinner at DFW.

5+ stars for being a airport restaurant! It’s not very often you find a place like this traveling. Very nice staff, fresh food, clean and a very nice setting to get you away from the hustle and bustle of an airport. Highly recommended!!!

Watching "The Terminal" while feasting close to gate A25 DFW

This is great respite in the normal hustle or turmoil of the DFW experience. The food is very good for DFW and the staff makes the whole visit excellent. It's not directly on the main concourse, it's downstairs and far enough removed to take your conscious mind out of the airport during your stay, while your physical being is already through TSA security. As I said, it's a nice respite for longer layovers, but efficient enough to support the 50 minutes many flights give you; if your connection is in the same terminal. As a single traveler, I sat at the bar. Chris the bartender was awesome. He was attentive, paid attention to the order, paid attention to detail when making the cocktails, and efficiently managed both drinks and food. It was a weather day, so lots of gate changes, departure changes, and Chris managed them all, without a single display of frustration. He saw food orders come out and quickly identified the food runner mistakes and made the orders right. The kitchen manager noticed the couple to my right had their entree come out late, (20 minutes after the app) and discounted the meal, even though it did not impact their time, everyone was delayed at least an hour. Overall the quality of the food was quite good. It was flavorful, the alligator was not overly breaded and it had nice seasoning and overall fresh flavor. The crawfish and shrimp gumbo was very good. Mine came without sausage and Chris saw that before I did, he had the runner go to kitchen and quickly returned with a sizeable portion to add to the gumbo. If I'm in the correct terminal and have 40 minutes or more to kill, I'll be back. If you're here for 2 hours, make the trip on sky link and try them out. You won't be disappointed.

If you have to be stuck at DFW, spend your time here!

Stuck here in terminal A due to weather. Sat at the bar, Chris was the mixologist, and he was amazing. One person serving 18 people and none of us had issues. The kitchen runners were on point for the most part, when they were off, Chris squared it away immediately. The managers noticed that the people to my right had 20 minutes between the apps and the mains coming out and they were in a hurry to leave, wrapped up the food to go, cut them a break on their bill, and got them off to the ever changing gates. I have to say, it's not obvious they are there, but I will seek them out on my way back home Friday.

Allen was great he recommended the catfish Po-Boy huge portion for the airport so big I could only eat 1/2 packed it up for plane. Can’t wait for the next time I fly out of DFW to try something else from the menu!
