Izzy's Fish & Oyster

Right downtown ft Myers. Parking on the street for 2 hours $3.45. Got the buffalo shrimp starter and it was probably the best shrimp I’ve ever had. They make their ranch and Bleu cheese in house- both are top notch. Got the gator bites and they are good. We shared several dinners- twin tails with potatoes and broccolini 9/10; scallops with bacon - 7/10- the bacon was 12/10!; the warm lobster roll with slaw 10/10; the snapper Mediterranean style- was very overcooked - they brought me out a new one and it was a lot better 7/10. Key Like pie for dessert 7/10! Would come back for sure! Great service ! Dietary restrictions: They show gluten free options on the menu

Everything was absolutely amazing.

Clam chowder was excellent with large pieces. Butter fish with citrus herb risotto also delicious. Would get again!

We had high hopes for this place. Had 7:30 reservations on a Sunday night. Took forever for server to come to our table to take our drink order. Starters (oysters and ceviche) were great but went downhill from there. My husband ordered the twin lobster tails and I ordered the tripletail. Waitress came out and said they were out of the lobster so he had to find something else. Five minutes later someone from the kitchen came out and said they were out of tripletail. So I said I’d get the scallops….out of the scallops. Seriously? I heard a server tell another table they were out of asparagus. My husband ended up getting the snapper Caribbean style, blackened. It sounded good but ended up being very bland. So, we gave them a shot but they came up short. Too many great restaurants out there to make a bad first impression.

I had the Cotia fish plate. The fish was dry and saturated in butter. It didn't have any seasoning, very bland. The server never checked on me. I had to ask others for things I needed. The only thing that was good was the atmosphere and the delicious raw oysters.

My husband and I had a great lunch here! Mussels and oysters were delightful and prices were reasonable. Our server was attentive. We will definitely go back!

We’ve been going to Izzy’s for a couple years now and we were delightfully surprised with how amazing our server Zoë was. While other experiences were generally good, Zoë made this one great. She was attentive and had a great attitude. We’ll be asking for her in the future.
