The interior is cold and uncomfortable
Always great coffee and great service. Also for recommendations too!
Generally good coffee with a standard selection of espresso-based drinks, though on the pricier side. There’s plenty of seating available for working or hanging out. They also offer a $2 discount on single-origin beans every Saturday for those interested in purchasing beans.
Another former pastry chef review - Typically their pastries are cold & taste borderline stale or like it’s been sitting out for a while(which I know is the case from the taste). Even when I went in first thing in the morning, the pastry wasn’t fresh. Staff isn’t always nice or friendly. Overall just meh. There are better coffee shops out there.
Never disappoints, my favorite coffee spot in Chicago. Highly recommend the Avena latte.
Expensive? Yes, but this is just one of those spots that will not give you a cup of coffee if it isn't perfect. They're consistent which a lot of other pricey coffee shops in the area struggle with. This morning, I ordered the "not-so-irish coffee" (or whatever their take on an Irish coffee is) on a whim, and BOY..... this was such a treat. It was a gorgeous and unique little piece of art. I wish I got the barista's name because it made my whole morning -- strong, sweet, creamy, but not TOO much.
Coffee here was great but the WiFi was terrible. I planned to work here in the afternoon (emails and document work mostly) and still had to use my hotspot the whole time just to get my webpages to load.
pretty good coffee although some of their specialty drinks are a miss
