Ehhh the food is regular like any other Chinese. Not bad. But the spring roll? It was definitely cold and hard. It wasn’t fresh at all. I hate I got it. To the owner please make sure when you issue spring rolls that they are just as fresh as the rest of the food.
When I moved to the area a few years ago this was a hidden gem. A family run establishment that had really great Chinese food...really authentic tasting dishes like you would get in NYC. Recently however I think either ownership or management has changed and it is a standard, cheap food-court style lunch special place with really awful food. Service is terrible...they try to rush you off the phone before you can even think to yourself if you ordered everything you wanted in the first place. Food quality has declined...the once great General Tso's tasted like re-fried chicken nuggets which were hard as a rock. The egg-rolls used to be really big and gave an incredible five-spice aroma, but now they are tiny, soggy and just really depressing. They left off part of my order last night so who knows how else they are cutting corners. I hope that they can return to what they once were but for now I would avoid...there are too many great choices a mile or so away on Buford Hwy.
Love this place there wings are an actual wing not like other places were they cut the entire wing and sell it as 2
Pretty good food service could use some work I will double check your order they just might get it wrong. It's happened twice so I'm cutting my losses here
I'm from our of town, no shrimp in egg roll I paid for, chicken hard, beef lomein ok...
This place used to be so good! Maybe it was a bad day, but it definitely didn’t taste the same. The egg roll was soft and had a terrible taste. I had to throw it away. The wings didn’t have that taste that we all know Chinese restaurants has. The taste was off. The rice was really good, but that’s it.
I was one of thier first customers. This once authentic Chinese restaurant is now a salt & bacteria bath. They have Mexicans cooking the food and taking orders. The personality of the cashier is no more than ghetto. The Mexicans cooking the food sprinkle what taste like unhealthy table salt. Everyone is wearing street clothes with no hair nets, and handling food without gloves. This may be okay for their Mexican clientele but for me, it's a bacteria haven. I'm disappointed in the Asain owners decision to use other nationalities to benef3it their business while compromising thier cuisine. I'm no longer a patron of Hop Shing restaurant.
The sweet n sour chicken is good.
Food is always consistent and delicious. Being from New York, this place is closest to New York Chinese food I’ve found here in Georgia.
I ordered the moo goo gai pan fried rice combo which came with an egg roll. All of it was DELICIOUS!! I also got wonton soup that was amazing!! I rated a 5 for atmosphere because it is mainly take out but the place is immaculate and you can see the kitchen right behind the cashier. I will be going back regularly!! The combo and a quart of the soup was only $16.00. Killer price!
