Hattie Marie's Cafe

I had the pleasure of chatting with Mrs. Hattie Marie today while I waited on my food. It was one to the best talks that i have had in a very long time. I reminisced of times when we would sit around the table talking with my grandmother. Just being in her presence made me feel loved, welcomed, and home. The atmosphere was very inviting. As I sat there, talking and watching, Mrs Hattie greeted everyone who came through the door. People from every walk of life. She spoke and waved like she knew all that entered her establishment. Her staff takes pride in the way that they greet and communicate with customers, their appearance was neat and presentable, and most of all they looked as tho they were all estatic to be at work. (nowadays, that's not always the case). I ordered 2 dinners ( one for me and one for dad), and we both had enough for leftovers! The smells emitting from the kitchen were heavenly, the food was absolutely amazing, and the portions were very gracious! I highly recommend visiting Hattie Marie's. Hopefully, you will get a chance to meet such a remarkable young lady! SN: I overheard Mrs. Hattie telling another customer that remarked, " I'll see ya next Sunday." Mrs. Hatties' response was, " No, We will be closed, They (the employees) need a break." [ next Sunday is Easter Sunday] I gained so much more respect for her in that moment. It's not always "making money" it's also important to value your employees. Now I understand why they all look so happy .

DELICIOUS! and I only had sides… The whipped mashed potatoes were incredible! I might have to miss church one day to catch them open again…

Got it to go. Heavy bag with food for two. Large containers, stuffed full, cooked to perfection, just the way you love it!
