Talk about a diamond in the rough. Hands down the greatest steamed buns I’ve ever had anywhere, each order comes with 6 steamed buns and this insanely addictive crack sauce for only $5. Located in the basement of the East Broadway Mall, which literally feels like something out of a zombie apocalypse at this point with shuttered stores and flickering lights, this gem is the true definition of a hole in the wall.

The dumplings and buns at this place are incredibly delicious, and the prices are surprisingly affordable. It's hard to imagine finding such a cost-effective spot in Manhattan. The restaurant is located in the basement of a somewhat quiet shopping center, which can make it a bit challenging to find, but it's definitely a hidden gem for those seeking good value.

Homey place with friendly service. We had the buns and the steamed dumplings. The bun itself was really good—very fluffy and soft—and the filling was good, juicy and enhanced by adding the vinegar and other sauce. The dumplings were really good, with a nice freshness from the scallions in the filling. An absolute steal for the price. We ended up buying frozen dumplings and frozen Fuzhou dumplings as well.

Imma be honest, I hate their pork buns so much. Not only it’s located inside the mall where you have to smell pee, but also the buns which they are famous for are not good. Pork is straight salt w bland filling outside. If you think this is good, I will assume that you actually like it solely it’s just cheap. $28/ 50 buns or $3.5 for 5 buns. I drank tons of water right after and got dizzy.

Best bun around! I ate 8 a day. Brought some frozen buns and your life will be saved

Phenomenal little place, could not recommend it enough for anyone whos in the area and wants some of the best cheap food around. It's so easy to miss if you don't know where it is but please go. We went to the city almost exclusively for this location and we were not disappointed!

The bamboo shoot cake is a must try!
