This was my second time here. First time I came on a weekend with a larger party and a reservation, and the process was smooth and drinks were good! Tonight it was just as great. I got a reservation for 2 on a Monday night and we were able to choose a seat we liked and had a nice time hanging out and grabbing drinks. Service was quick and they are great at answering questions.

Drinks on the sweet side. Recommend going with the signature cocktails. Classic cocktails a bit unbalanced

I, a white male, have gone and gotten service just fine. Whenever my wife, who is POC has gone or with our friends (also POC) they don’t serve us and completely ignore us. I recommend going somewhere else

We really enjoyed the appetizers. My favorite was the Mushrooms. Great decor and atmosphere. we will definitely come back. Next time I will bring my girlfriends.

This is a gem in downtown San Mateo. Great cocktails, great service, great vibe.

Update: It's been 4 months. No one has made contact. Still racist. Update on Review: my husband and I have been here before. We've had great service and even did tequila tasting. On Saturday (10/21) my husband called and made a reservation and went alone for a sangria. He came back pretty heart broken because again, we've been here and had great service. They decided to seat him and not serve him. They ignored him completely and served everyone else around him. We're never coming back and never recommending this place ever again. Plenty of people go to bars for a single drink and go on their way. I can't fathom why they didn't serve him other than he's a dark skinned Latino man that came straight from work. When I go with my husband we get great service and I can only assume it is because I am a white looking Latina. It seems they have a specific demographic in mind to be in this establishment. If you're "blue collar" as my husband's cap said, you're not welcomed here. If you're not white, I don't think you're welcomed here either. I called in and spoke to Sammy who had spoken with my husband over the phone to make the reservation. She was extremely shocked and embarrassed by her employees and was trying to make it right. We have yet to be contacted by the owner (which we were told would call my husband to make it right). In 2023, this is just appalling to experience in the Bay Area. Check your employees and correct their behavior. The menu was hard to choose from which will bring us back! Callyn was extremely attentive and helpful when choosing drinks. It's an amazing place to have a good time. My husband and I will be back.
