Our experience with a reservation at Feast and Floret was very poor. They seemed unprepared with our table despite having made the reservation 2 weeks in advance. Upon our arrival we were told our table was being cleared and moments later someone sat a walk-in at that table. They proceeded to squeeze a third chair in what was originally a two-person table not in the dining area. The table was literally right outside the doorless kitchen and up against the bar - the clanging of plates and shouting of drink orders was a bit much. We left. Fortunately we were able to get a table at another well known Hudson restaurant and not only enjoyed the taste of our meal but the atmosphere of the read. I can’t give a review of the food at Feast and Floret but I can say the service we received was inferior and I wouldn’t recommend reservations.
Passionate owner creates a uniquely delicious atmosphere and menu. You will not be disappointed with the quality and taste that the original menu and specials have to offer.
Great food and setting. We sat outside with our dog next to the sidewalk. Excellent service.
Such a cute restaurant! And the food and service is great. Shout out to Natalia for being very attentive to my tables needs and being super friendly!
Antoine and James are the most bloodthirsty individuals I know. It's like buying blood diamonds made from the souls of a damned ship. The food: I went to every 5 star Italian place I could find on the eastern seaboard. Feast and floret will give you small plates and a pompous noise. Feast and floret will not give you the description of the meal to be "edgy" I've watched them burn through more staff then trump towers, and I've had the pleasure of watching the owner James lose his mind and scream at the closest object. It's a an elaborate scam designed to scam people 50 years and older. They think you got mush brain and will say anything to touch your green paper. I met people in Amsterdam similar...
My enjoyment of a mediocre Caesar and an excellent fresh rigatoni and olive oil cake was severely undermined by having to listen to the Beatles on shuffle for the full hour and a half of my meal. As a solo diner who's also a DJ I couldn't help but be distracted by the morbid tales of Eleanor Rigby and Maxwell Edison puncturing an otherwise warm atmosphere. Given the precise curation of every other element of this place, I was surprised that the music was such an afterthought (or, worse, a terrible intentional choice). And look, I love the Beatles! But their recognizability and often zany songs do not belong in fine dining. Some people are picky about service, others about decor. Me? I will never return to a restaurant with a bad soundtrack.
Vegetarian options: Most of the pastas and starters were vegetarian, with five vegetable sides available. No vegetarian mains but still felt like plenty of choices.
As long as you don't have any allergies to fresh or dried flowers or incense. There were really too many scents floating about. Food was good but not great. The bolognese was very salty and the sorting peas with pasta were bland. Also another loud restaurant.
We went to feast & floret for a dinner for a bachelorette party, it had such a great atmosphere, the menu was creative, the food was delicious, and the staff was knowledgeable and attentive. We all loved it!!
An experience not to be missed. Wonderful atmosphere with good energy, excellent service and amazing, creative dishes. The octopus was the most tender I have ever had, complimented by fresh tomatoes and olives. The wine selection is superb.
