Honestly, the food here is amazing and you get a lot for what you pay for, especially to-go (their To-Go service is top notch), but I avoid going in there because I always seem to have a bad server experience. You never get that feeling that the servers want you there. When I go to a restaurant with my family, the interaction with the staff is very important to us because it can be the difference between just a night out versus a great time out where the server almost becomes part of your family for those 1.5-2 hours. I say all that to say that the last time my family was there , IGNACIO took exceptional care of us. It was the first time I had felt that warmth and care for the job and its customers at EL Novillo in probably 8 years. We were a big party and Ignacio was very organized and professional. He was very cordial and answered any questions we had. He joked with us and offered to take a picture of the family. He even asked if we were celebrating anything special (we were not) and just made us feel like we were having dinner at our home. Interactions like this make you want to keep ordering drinks and maybe another dish because you're having a good time. I've been to this El Novillo before where after the first 15 minutes all I want to do is finish my food so that I can leave as quickly as possible. This was not one of those times. tl;dr: Dine-in service is sub-par. Food is great. We had a great time last time we were there because of a server named Ignacio. Service should really be like a 1.5 stars but I'm giving it a 4 because of our last interaction.
Amazing service and food was also great!
Un lugar muy lindo y con excelente servicio y comida
Food is delicious, service is very good and staff is on point. Worth the cost. You get a lot for your money.
As a Nicaraguan we know our foods when ordering in a Nicaraguan restaurant My vigoron came with ONLY yuca. According to Betsy at the host desk the vigoron to go is only yuca and porch rings no salad We also ordered the taco again no salad Also ordered the ribs no tortillas
