We made a reservation and got to the restaurant just to see that it wasn’t opened. It said online it was and the phone rang to operator. They took our cc as well to secure the reservation and now we have to fight that.
Fire omakase, fire esthetics, fire staff, and fire vibes!!! I’ve eaten here a couple times and definitely will be back. The fish is so fresh and it’s such a nice cozy atmosphere for any occasion. Highly recommend!!
Wonderful korean-japanese fusion omakase! If you’re wanting to try korean in more of a familiar and easier way, absolutely recommend Chef Jung. Very balanced out course selection and arrangement. Loved the unagi burger especially and everything else.
Dining at Domakase was an extraordinary experience, blending the art of traditional omakase with an innovative Korean twist, masterfully orchestrated by Chef Daun. Unlike many omakase spots in the city that focus solely on the dishes, Domakase elevates the experience with Chef Daun's engaging conversation, adding a personal touch to each meticulously crafted course. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making each guest feel special. The fusion of flavors in each dish reflects a deep respect for traditional sushi while introducing unexpected, delightful Korean influences. Overall, Domakase offers not just a meal, but a memorable journey of culinary artistry and warm hospitality, led by a chef who truly connects with his patrons.
It was good experience for bday dinner! Highly recommend to anyone who looking for affordable ommakase in nyc !
Domakase has two rooms available, one for Japanese omakase menu and the other for a Korean menu. Both rooms are very small and intimate (enough seating for 5-6 people at the counter). We enjoyed the Japanese 14 course menu, and a couple of bottles of sake. Everything was delicious, especially the uni, barracuda and the tuna.
